Rectangular 01 developed from a study-in-proportions that i gave myself:
"How do i distribute openings upon a plane without them being distributed
haphazardly, but according to rules. Additionally this should create an
individual composition that could be perceived visually while also perceived
acoustically as music or rhythm." The
boards are manually finished and polished, in this way they each develop
their own distinct signature. Rectangular
01 was an in between step – Originally
it should become one wall side of a Room-Corpus, which you can enter and
have these openings as kind of windows into the surrounding, it became
a game with plates, you can move and decide a structure, finally it got
this form.
Rectangular 01 is created within strong principles: An individual composition
within classical principles of geometry,
a golden rectangle. It is the beauty, the beauty of the theory, the poise
of the law. It allows you to discover
something that springs eternal in life.
